According Euromonitor International, Barcelona is the fifth city that attracts the most foreign visitors in Europe.

Barcelona is the 16th most visited city in the world and the 5th most popular European city destination, according to the Top City Destinations Ranking 2010, put together by the consultancy Euromonitor International. In 2010, more than five million foreign tourists visited the Catalan capital, 15.6% more than in 2009.
This is the biggest increase among all European cities. The list includes the world’s 100 top city destinations. London is the most visited European city, followed by Paris, Istanbul, Rome and Barcelona, which completes the top.
