If you want to find out about the historic events in the oldest part of Barcelona don't miss this walking tour which will reveal the most splendid period of the Catalan capital and its culture which can still be seen today. Every step of the tour is full of history, charm and magic.
- After visiting the Plaça de Sant Jaume, the current seat of local and regional government, you’ll be able to enjoy such unique landmarks sites, such as the Plaça del Rei, the historic powerhouse of medieval Catalonia,the cathedral, and the Roman walls, important remains of which survive today.
- And if you have reduced mobility (because you walk with a stick, need a wheelchair to get around, or feel tired when you stop for a long period of time...) but you don’t want to miss out on the activities the city offers, we’ve prepared a route for you to discover the “heart” of Barcelona. An easy, convenient route, adapted to your needs!.
- The tours are led by professional guides.
- Wireless tour guide system designed to aid communication between participants and the guide.
- Visits guaranteed. Limited places.
- Departure point: Turisme de Barcelona information office - Sant Jaume at: Ciutat, 2. Metro: L3, Liceu stop and L4, Jaume I stop (doesn’t have a lift). Bus: 45 and V17. You should be at the information office 10 minutes before the visit of the Gothic Quarter begins.
- Duration of the tour: Walking Tour Gothic: 2 hours, Easy Walking Tour: 1 hour and 30min.
- Times:
Walking Tour Gothic:- From April to October:
- English: Monday to Sunday at 9.30am.
- Catalan/Spanish: Thursday at 11.30am and Saturday at 5pm.
- French: Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm and Saturday at 11.30pm.
- From November to March:
- English: Monday to Sunday at 9.30am.
- Catalan/Spanish: Saturdays at 5pm.
- French: Saturdays at 11.30am.
- All year round. First and third Friday in the month.
- From April to October:
- Closed: 1/1, 6/1, 1/5, 24/6, 15/08 (afternoon), 25/12 and 26/12.
- At the end of the tour, make sure you take advantage of the extensive retail offering of the Gothic Quarter, with its unique, charming shops.
